dined at Tao Heung almost every meal in the past week >.< Thursday Jul 7 Happy dinner @住家菜 with Suichung & Yanting. We then went to McD and chatted until 12mn. Friday Jul 8 Japanese buffet in Central. deli ^.^ Hong Kong Sinfonietta @City Hall Martina Filjak Plays Rachmaninov piano concerto no. 2 The conductor was good. She played so well but I didn't find the fluency in the music. The brass & woodwind instruments were not very well.   Saturday Jul 9
Misocool in TST again! Liszt night @City Hll Everything was great, esp. Rachel Cheung's six grandes etudes. Bravo! Sunday Jul 10 辛辣人妻 -- a good theatre Monday Jul 11 Back to work -- EAS started! No swimming for sooooo many days >.< We had a nice farewell buffet with Sheng tonight. I raised the question on logic, which was related to distribution and measure and got interesting answers!
六月三十日，稻香開了。
七月一日，放假，稻香超多人。我帶左本abstract algebra去睇。 重新再讀abstract algebra，次序是ring、 field、group，呢個序好合理，因為ring係成日都見、成日都有嘅野。 由arithmetic開始，讀primes、unique factorization同euclidean algorithm。因為有除數，之後讀classes、mod同congruences。好了，以Z為基礎，進入ring，commutative ring同ring with identity，仲有solve quadratic equations成日出現的integral domain (即係無zero divisor) ，最後係field。不過Z已經唔係field，因為無乘的inverse。 subring -- 減同乘兩個operations都係closed就得，唔使check所有axioms，好聰明。 跟著是isomorphism同homomorphism，最難係找出兩個話可能係isomorphic的東西之間的function，再證明佢係isomorphism。不過，這似乎是一貫的數學難題。 七月二日，讀到polymonial ring了。 一個polynomial，ax^n+...，如果a係一個ring的element，到底x係咩呢？點解佢地可以相乘？之後就引入polynomial ring R[x]，即係R係R[x]的subring，而x就在R外面，但在R[x]中。 兩個polynomials的gcd同integers的gcd一樣，兩個polynomials都可以用euclidean algorithm找gcd，咩係irredicible呢？就係analogous to integers中的primes了。讀得好開心 ^.^ 我的目標，係睇到點解五次方程無general solution，即係galois theory。 | ArchivesJune 2013 Categories |
